GestureSynth Play

Play Gesture Synth online.

Use your left hand for chords, then shape volume, octave, and synth tone with your right hand.

PC recommended. Use a desktop or laptop for reliable camera tracking and audio.

Play Gesture Synth

Turn a webcam view into a playable synth.

Gesture Synth is a browser hand gesture synthesizer built around two-hand camera tracking. Choose Start playing to enable audio and camera access, then keep both hands visible while the browser turns your gestures into live chords and synth movement.

Camera permission is requested only after you start. Gesture Synth does not request microphone access, and MediaPipe analyzes hand landmarks in your browser without the application uploading or storing your camera video.

Left hand

Use finger patterns to choose scale degrees I-VII. Turn your left hand to move between major and minor harmony.

Right hand

Raise one to four fingers to choose chord quality, extend your thumb for a lower octave, move vertically for volume, and tilt your wrist to sweep the filter.

Key and sound

Choose a musical key and switch between Warm, Bright, and Retro synth waveforms while the live scale guide follows the active chord.
