Gesture Synth Terms of Use

These terms describe the basic conditions for using the Gesture Synth website and its experimental browser music game.

Effective August 6, 2026

Using Gesture Synth

You may use Gesture Synth for lawful personal, educational, and creative activity. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, misuse camera permissions, interfere with other users, or use the project in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

Camera-based interaction

The full game depends on a compatible browser, camera permission, sufficient lighting, and successful hand tracking. You control whether camera access is granted and can revoke it through your browser. Gesture Synth does not request microphone access.

Experimental availability

Gesture Synth is provided as an experimental browser music experience. Features, musical mappings, and availability may change. The project is provided without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser, camera, or device. You use it at your own discretion.

Third-party resources

Gesture Synth relies on browser APIs and third-party MediaPipe runtime and model resources. Those resources may be governed by their providers' licenses and terms. Their inclusion does not transfer ownership of third-party technology to Gesture Synth.

Intellectual property

These terms do not grant ownership of Gesture Synth branding, original site content, project-specific interface work, code, or musical adaptations. Public-domain compositions remain public domain, and third-party materials remain subject to their respective rights and licenses. See Copyright and credits.
